Lucy Bennett, clinical director of Care of the Skin in Wilmslow, tells us about the benefits of the ClearLift 4D laser facelift and why non-surgical treatments might be the right choice for you.

Q: Why should I get a non-surgical facelift?

The tell-tale signs of aging and sun exposure are often most visible on our face, over time causing fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and skin laxity. Non-surgical facelifts work to improve these imperfections and enhance your natural beauty by rejuvenating the skin for long-lasting anti-aging results.

Q: What are the benefits of skin rejuvenation treatments?

The main benefits of skin rejuvenation treatments like our ClearLift 4D laser facelift is that they are quick, painless and have no downtime. These types of non-invasive procedures are known as ‘lunchtime facelifts’ because they can usually be done within 30 minutes with no side effects.

Q: What is the ClearLift 4D laser facelift?

The ClearLift 4D laser facelift is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that can turn back the years to give you a firmer and more radiant complexion. Similar to laser skin resurfacing, it can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, dark circles, open pores, melasma and rosacea. The treatment is most commonly used on the face and the neck but it can also be used on other areas of the body such as the décolletage and the hands.

Q: How does it work?

The laser delivers short, powerful bursts of photo-acoustic energy below the surface of the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and shatter unwanted pigmentation. A unique characteristic of this particular laser is that it bypasses the outer layer of skin to avoid damaging the surface, which means there is no downtime either.

Q: Who is it suitable for?

The ClearLift procedure is suitable for everyone and is one of our most commonly requested treatments at the clinic. Clients range from mid 20s to over 50s with various different skin types. It can be used as a preventative treatment for younger people who want to prolong healthy-looking skin or for those who want to reduce the signs of aging.

Q: How effective is it?

Most people see immediate results with visibly brighter and tighter looking skin. The beauty of ClearLift is that once you start to stimulate the collagen, you’ll get better results each time you have a follow up session.

However, as with any treatment, the results will depend on the individual and the condition of their skin. People with more skin laxity or severe skin pigmentation may require more frequent treatments to achieve the results they want.

Q: What equipment do you use and is it safe?

The Clearlift treatment is part of the Harmony XL Pro Alma laser range which is predominately used in high-end aesthetic clinics. It’s a multi-application piece of equipment which means it can be used to treat a wide range of indications and is safe for all skin types. Different tips can be added to the laser handpiece to offer a completely bespoke treatment for each person, whether they want to improve superficial lines or target deeper wrinkles.

Q: Does it work with other skin rejuvenation treatments?

We often use the ClearLift laser treatment alongside the HydraFacial, which deeply cleanses the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion. We can also combine it with Alma Accent treatments, which use ultrasound and radiofrequency technology to reduce excess fat and loose skin, commonly around the neck and jowls.
