If the dark mornings, dark afternoons, in fact the dark days are getting you down, make sure you plan a trip to Hibernate in Spinningfields, Manchester.

Hibernate is a cute pop up bar offering a comfy, cosy atmosphere in one of Manchester’s most popular locations.

Enjoy a mulled cider or Christmas cocktail amongst the roaring fires. Sit back and relax in this contemporary log cabin under a blanket and watch the world go by. It really is a treat and gets you in the mood for Christmas festivities, especially as it overlooks the Spinningfields ice rink!

I tried the ‘Happy Holidays’ cocktail – a classic apple martini with Bison vodka, Cheshire apples, lemon juice and a cheeky twist – the twist being cinnamon which really gave it that Christmas feel. It was delightful and easy to drink. Sweet in all the right places and full of flavour. There are many more Christmas drinks to try and a great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails too which is fab news for all the designated drivers out there. Nobody will feel left out here on a night out.

Grab your winter woollies and take a trip into this winter wonderland. You won’t be disappointed.
